Rebekah Rose

Rebekah Rose (they/she) is a yoga teacher and artist based in Long Beach, California. They have been teaching trauma-informed yoga since 2014 across Long Beach and Los Angeles. Rebekah has their RYT 200-hr and has done countless other training including: somatic consent, embodied social justice, restorative and yin yoga, trauma training and beyond. They view the practice of yoga as the practice of getting to know yourself to bridge the gap between the mind and the body. They strongly believe that anyone and everyone can do yoga and that everyone deserves to feel at home in their own skin.

Rebekah’s approach pulls from a combination of styles including: hatha, vinyasa, restorative and their teaching  is largely influenced by mindfulness (primarily pulling from vipassana and zen traditions). Their goal when teaching is to help students understand the messages the body sends, to help students cultivate a sense of safety and security in their bodies with tenderness and humor.

When Rebekah is not teaching they can be found on the streets painting murals, working in the non-profit sector bringing arts to system-impacted youth, in a mosh pit at your local hardcore show, or looking for scenic places to lay down outside next to various bodies of water.
