Lux LaCroix

Lux LaCroix is an award winning burlesque performer, professional dancer, choreographer performance artist and documentary filmmaker. She splits her time between New York and Los Angeles where she performs regularly in both cities. As a dancer and choreographer she has worked with some of the biggest names in music. As a documentary filmmaker she has examined topics ranging from the use of the “N” word in American popular culture, women in punk and hard rock and the art and influence of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. She is currently channeling her documentary and photographic urges into performance art pieces that showcase dance to examine the Black experience in America.

Lux has been a featured performer in burlesque festivals all over the world. In 2008, she was named Reigning Queen of Burlesque, First Runner Up at the Burlesque Hall of Fame as well as "Most Dazzling Performer". In 2009 her burlesque based performance art piece and tribute to the artist and musician Prince titled, "Color Me Purple" was featured at REDCAT'S Spring Studio program and has been her signature piece since it’s conception. In 2018 she started flexing her hosting muscles by stepping into her role as Femcee for LA based burlesque troupe, Bootleg Bombshells. You can find her dancing, talking and doing her thang on stages, tables, and an occasional parking lot pretty much every night of the week.
